Viet Nam Craft Village Trade Fair 2017 opens (10/11/2017)
HNP - The Viet Nam Craft Village Trade Fair 2017 (CraftViet 2017) officially kicked off on November 9 at Exhibition Fair, Economic Transaction and Commercial Area, No 489 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Cau Giay District.

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the fair features 200 booths showcasing typical handicraft products from 24 cities and provinces nationwide, such as: Chu Dau pottery, Bat Trang pottery, Dong Ho painting and brocade weaving, etc.
Visitors to the fair will have chance to take part in numerous activities, such as "Vietnamese tea place" where famous tea producers and processors in the northern provinces of Thai Nguyen and Sơn La will introduce the best quality tea as well as the culture of enjoying tea and a chance to see silver engraving, as well as bamboo, rattan and pottery products, etc.
According to the organizing board of the fair, the event aims at strengthening trade promotion and turning craft products into commercial and value added products, attracting investment in traditional craft villages, encouraging tourism development in conjunction with rural handicrafts and enhancing trade promotion for local products, seeking investment to expand the scale of craft villages, restoring and developing handicrafts, and promoting national identity in accordance with the new rural development policy.
Under the framework of the event, the organizing board also holds seminars on development of handicraft villages in Viet Nam, application of technical advance in handicraft villages, environmental protection, building of new rural areas, and cultural and gastronomic space for regional signature dishes.
