Ha Noi, Pakistan boost cooperation on management (07/12/2017)
HNP – Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung on December 5 hosted a reception for the Pakistani delegation led by Mian Muhammad Jamil Ahqi, Deputy Director of the National School of Public Policies of Lahore.

At the reception, both sides expressed their delight at strong development of Viet Nam-Pakistan ties. The Pakistani delegation wished to further promote experience sharing with Viet Nam in general and Ha Noi in particular in fields of administrative reform, industrial development and improvement of people’s living standards.
Talking about the management of administration and development of Ha Noi, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung gave general information of the capital’s development, administrative apparatus and management. He stressed that Ha Noi has 30 districts, suburban districts; 18 departments, sectors. The city is now home to a total population of 9.5 million.
Over the past years, Ha Noi has recorded high growth of socio-economic development. The average growth in 2016 was 8.1 percent and reached 8.5 percent in 2017. To fulfill all targets of the city’s development, Ha Noi administration has focused on tightly managing and improving the quality of officials, leaders of departments, sectors, agencies, etc.
The host also noted that the capital city has proactively arranged and downsized administrative apparatus; completed the building of the job placement scheme; strengthened administrative reform and improved investment environment so as to create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises; boosted the application of information technology in agencies, etc.

For his part, Deputy Director of the National School of Public Policies of Lahore Mian Muhammad Jamil Ahqi expressed his admiration for the history of Viet Nam and the President Ho Chi Minh. After visiting Duong Lam ancient village, the Pakistani delegation highly appreciated the development and management of Ha Noi. The guest expected to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation on management with Ha Noi.
He also affirmed that the National School of Public Policies of Lahore as well as policy makers of Pakistan would continue exchanging experiences with Ha Noi in particular and Viet Nam in general, contributing to fostering the friendship and the cooperation between the two countries.
