321 booths showcased at Viet Nam agricultural products, handicrafts fair (20/04/2017)

HNP – The first Viet Nam agricultural products, handicrafts fair of cooperatives, cooperative unions and Vietnamese enterprises officially kicked off on April 18 at Thong Nhat Park. The event is jointly organized by Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) and Cooperative Union of Agricultural Consumption (UCA).

Delegates cut the ribbon to kick off the fair, Ha Noi, April 18.

This year’s event gathers 321 booths from 54 provinces, cities across the country and four international organizations.

The fair aims at promoting, introducing, connecting trade in agricultural products, industrial services to local people and international friends.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the fair, VCA President Vo Kim Cu affirmed that the fair is an important event to celebrate the 10th Asia Pacific Cooperative Minister's Conference and offer opportunity for countries, cooperatives, cooperative unions, traditional craft villages and enterprises to promote trade names, trade promotion, exchange of learning, scientific and technological research, etc.”

Agriculture, forestry and fishery products, seafood, clean food (such as vegetables, fruits, tea, fish sauce, vermicelli) and handicraft products will be displayed at the fair. All products are certificated for food safety and clear origin.
 
Especially, this year's fair is co-ordinated between the UCA and the National Clean Agriculture Program towards the clean, safe and sustainable agriculture, associated with large scale, sustainable commodity value chain in the process of world economic integration.

According to UCA Chairman of the Board, General Director, the fair creates a golden opportunity for local cooperatives, unions of cooperatives and enterprises to promote and introduce high quality agricultural and handicraft products of Viet Nam to international friends.

Admission to the fair is free of charge. The fair will run through April 21.
