Boost development of occupations and occupational villages (14/03/2017)
HNP - The Municipal People’s Committee Office has recently issued Announcement 42/TB-VP to state conclusion of Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu at working session to sum up performance of the Ha Noi Steering Committee for Occupations and Occupational Village Development in 2016.
Accordingly, relevant agencies and sectors enhance popularization and information work, focusing on policies of the Central and Ha Noi on developing occupations and occupational villages; pay more attention to vocational training and craft cultivation, especially quality of training; promote collective brand building and development of craft villages and craft products, striving to have 10 to 15 more brands in 2017; further ease difficulties with funds, especially loans of commercial banks, mobilize resources, in particular investment of the private sector.
The authorities also increase trade promotion activities, and call on enterprises as well as production facilities to join fairs in Viet Nam and abroad. That will contribute to increasing consumption of goods and promoting brands of enterprises, craft villages and products.
Furthermore, attention is paid to environmental protection, waste water treatment in craft villages, verification and assessment to recognize craft villages, hence boosting the development of traditional craft villages in association with cultural and historical tourism.
Occupation and occupational village development should be connected with Program 02-CTr/TU dated April 26, 2016 of the Municipal Party Committee and new-style rural area development. Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in cooperation with the Department of Industry and Trade report to the Municipal People’s Committee and ask for financial support to handle environment pollution in occupational villages. The Authority of Plan and Investment and Department of Finance allocate funds for developing occupations and occupational villages according to legal regulations.
City's agencies, sectors and People’s Committees of districts and towns review regulations and policies relating to occupation and occupational village development policies, and propose amendment or replacement in necessary cases.
