After listening to voters’ opinions, Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc applauded the positive leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the People’s Council, and the People’s Committee of Ha Dong district as well as the participation of collectives, people in fulfilling socio-economic targets.
However, she pointed out shortcomings and problems, including environmental pollution issues. She said that the Municipal People’s Council and the People’s Committee will allocate the budget to settle pollution in rivers.
Regarding waste treatment, the city will plan several modern waste treatment plants, she added.
Considering voters’ recommendations of compensation for land clearance in some projects, the Chairwoman assigned the Department of Investment and Planning in collaboration with the district People’s Committee to review projects and deal with local residents’ requirements as regulated.
She also said that the 7th session of the Municipal People’s Council will conduct the vote of confidence for positions elected by People's Councils. Particularly, the Municipal People’s Council will cast votes of confidence for 37 officials.

* At the meeting, voters of Hoai Duc suburban district suggested the city continue to pay more attention to poor households, policy beneficiary families, carrying out vocational training and job creation towards the goal of sustainable poverty reduction; taking measures to settle environmental pollution in the Day river as well as the inundation in areas caused by the urbanization. They also voiced their concern about irrigation works, cadre organization, administrative reform and development of traditional craft villages, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan thanked voters for giving straightforward and responsible opinions and pledged to receive and send their questions to functional agencies for settlement as regulated.
Briefing outstanding achievements of the city’s socio-economic development in 2018, the Permanent Vice Chairman highlighted the district’s positive contributions to the general development.
He said that over the past years, the city has paid special attention to the task of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, treatment of environmental pollution in craft villages.
He hoped that in the coming time, voters will continue to monitor operations of the Municipal People’s Council and authorities all levels as well as join hands to build their homeland to be more prosperous.
