At the meeting, 13 turns of voters expressed their concern about burning issues in the city, especially the progress of two urban railway projects.
According to a voter of Chuong Duong ward, currently, the locality has faced traffic congestion due to a large number of traffic participants through five gates in the area. The voter hoped that the Municipal People’s Council will release a Resolution on building a traffic tunnel from Chuong Duong Do street to Tran Nguyen Han street to serve the people’s urgent needs.
In additional, voters also agreed with the expansion of pedestrian space around Hoan Kiem Lake which has attracted a large number of visitors over two years of implementation.
A voter of Trang Tien Ward suggested the the city should offer specific sanctions to handle illegal street vendors causing disorder, environmental pollutions.
Besides, other voters also showed their deep concern over burning issues, including: Static traffic infrastructure, pavement encroachment to serve business activities, preschool construction project, etc.
Answering voters' questions about two urban railway routes, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the Cat Linh – Ha Dong railway project will be handed over on October 30, 2018 and operate on a trial basis for two months. In January 2019, the Ha Noi Railway Management Board will officially put into operation the route.
For the Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station project, he said that Ha Noi proposed the Government and relevant ministries, sectors to remove difficulties in order to accelerate the progress.

Regarding to issuing operational regulations of pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, the city leader mentioned that Ha Noi is embellishing the area and will soon issue the regulations. He also assigned Hoan Kiem District to take measures to ensure security and order.
He called for investors to design and invest in the construction of underground parking areas while talking about the shortage of static traffic infrastructure, especially parking lots.
At the conference “Ha Noi 2018 – Investment and Development Cooperation” on June 17, Ha Noi will announce a project on the city’s biggest underground parking lot in Quan Ngua Stadium (Ba Dinh District). Besides, Ha Noi will build more smart parking areas, he added.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung affirmed that the city will preserve the old quarter as well as make planning of urban areas and satellite towns in the outskirts in order to reduce traffic jams, etc.
