According to the report, over the past year, functional agencies have checked 111,166 turns of facilities and detected 26,310 violation cases of food safety. After all, 7,221 cases have been penalized with the total amount of over VND 38 billion.
Ha Noi has also enhanced specialized inspection on food safety in districts, suburban districts, communes and wards; cooperated with Ha Noi University of Public Health to organize training courses for 550 staffs.
Besides, the capital city has also promoted supervision on food poisoning and gained many achievements. Particularly, Ha Noi consolidated four mobile teams to prevent food poisoning and supervise food safety to serve great events of the Central and the city.
In 2017, Ha Noi recorded two food poisoning cases in canteens and 38 Methanol poisoning cases with 10 deaths.
Ha Noi also urged the political system to enhance communication and inspection of alcohol products. Similarly, People’s Committees of districts and suburban districts investigated and handled cases as soon as possible.
