This year’e event aims at promoting the startup activities which are spreading vigorously in the community in recent time. A thematic space “Books and Start-ups” introduces books on startup, knowledge and experience in the process of startup and some innovative products.
Additionally, an array of seminars, discussions and conversations between readers and authors on start-ups, reading culture, and effective reading skills will also be held.
The fair also introduces books of foreign publishers, and different kinds of books of Vietnamese publishers, including books in the fields of literature, society and culture, economy, science and technology, medicine, foreign languages, along with e-books and digital devices.

This year’s event also draws the participation of ASEAN Book Publishers Association and publishing associations of some countries in the ASEAN community and 26 publishers, publishing groups and representative offices of foreign publishers in Viet Nam from Germany, France, US, UK, Hungary, Ukraine, Republic of Korea, Japan, India, China, etc,
Representatives of international publishing organizations and associations will attend talks on development trends in the publishing industry and share their experiences in organizing and attending international book fairs.
Book agencies will exchange copyrights and sign cooperation agreements.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy said that the fourth Ha Noi Book Fair is an annual event which contributes to effectively implementing the Prime Minister's decisions on the project “Developing the reading culture in the community until 2020, oriented towards 2030.”
The fair also contributes to improving reading culture, encouraging book reading among the people and building the elegant, civilised lifestyle of Hanoians.
The fair will last until September 26.
