Party, State leaders pay tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh on his 127th birthday (21:55 18/05/2017)
Prominent at the ceremony were Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan, alongside former top leaders and other senior leaders and revolutionary veterans.
They expressed their gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, who brought fame to the nation and made great contributions to the struggle for national liberation and unification.
President Ho Chi Minh led the nation to success in the struggle for national independence and in establishing the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam following the August Revolution in 1945. He passed away in 1969.
After visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the delegation laid wreaths, and burnt incense at the Memorial of Heroic Martyrs in Bac Son Street to commemorate their sacrifices for the cause of national liberation struggle for independence, freedom and people’s happiness.

The same day, delegation from the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front of Ha Noi led by Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung also laid a wreath in tribute to Great President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum to mark the 127th anniversary of his birthday.
The delegation included Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee's chapter in Ha Noi Vu Hong Khanh and many other city’s senior officials.
The delegation also laid a wreath at the Monument to Fallen Soldiers.
