Luc Ngan "Thieu" lychee week opens in Ha Noi (18:16 18/06/2017)

HNP - The 2017 Luc Ngạn–Bac Giang “Thieu” Lychee Week officially kicked off at the Big C Thang Long Supermarket on June 16.

The event attracts numerous local consumers.

Jointly organized by People's Committee of Bac Giang Province, Big C Supermarket and relevant units, the event aims to promote the image of Thieu lychee, a speciality of Luc Ngạn District to customers from Ha Noi and all other regions of the country.
Statistic shows that direct revenue from lychee is about VND 3,000 billion, revenue from indirect services from lychee is about VND 2,000 billion. Therefore, the total revenue from the lychee is about VND5,000 billion, accounting for 13 percent of Bac Giang's GRDP and accounting for 20 percent of GRDP of agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector of the province.
Luc Ngan "Thieu" lychee are cultivated in a concentrated lychee-growing area. VietGAP and GlobalGAP cultivation standards are applied, ensuring clean produce that meets food safety and hygiene requirements. "Thieu" lychee are qualified for export to foreign markets such as the EU, the United States and Australia.
