According to a leader of the district People’s Committee, the project “Narrowing the digital gap for disabled people” funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Ha Noi Disabled People Association aims at helping disabled people to bring their abilities into full play; meeting the demands of people with disabilities; creating favorable conditions for disabled people to take part in socio-economic activities, contributing to building the community and the society.
Known as one of the leading units which implement the project, since 2015, Thanh Xuan District has improved the targets and demands for vocational training of the project through years. In particular, in 2015, the district set up the target of 2 basic IT training courses for people with disabilities. In 2016, the number of IT training courses was increased to 3. In 2017, the district is scheduled to open 2 classes. Therefore, the district leader assigned the Center for Vocational Training and Continuing Education to coordinate with the Disabled People Association to organize one training course with nearly 10 excellent participants so as to meet enterprises’ demands.
Accordingly, the Disabled People Association of Thanh Xuan District must also closely cooperate with the Center for Vocational Training and Continuing Education to manage, encourage and give assistance to students to join in full contents and programs of the training courses; understand students’ thoughts and aspirations to meet their needs in studying.
