The project is launched on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and RoK, and the 100th founding anniversary of the National Library of Viet Nam.
Covering on an area of 240 square meters, the library provides a choice of over 2,000 book titles in Vietnamese, Korean and English languages. It is also an entertainment and arts venue for reading, music, screenings.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Director of the National Library of Viet Nam Kieu Thuy Nga, the library will help children form their reading habits, equip themselves with useful information and knowledge, and develop lifelong learning skills.
Fund for Cultural Coperation of Korea President Hyun Jae said Republic of Korea is currently the largest trading partner of Viet Nam. The country has a large, young population and almost 50% of Vietnamese are under 30. The multimedia library for children will help future generations of Vietnamese to cultivate their knowledge, nurture their dreams, and contribute to further enhancing cultural exchange between the two countries.
