The event is jointly organized by Viet Nam Culture and Art Exhibition Center and Departments of Culture, Sport and Tourism of provinces, cities nationwide, including: Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Ha Nam, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Gia Lai, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Kien Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
The event aims to promote and honor cultural and natural heritage sites, especially those recognized by UNESCO as world natural heritage sites, increase awareness and responsibility of communities in biodiversity and natural environment conservation.
This is also a chance for the participating provinces and cities to introduce and promote their cultural, tourism and trade potentials, as well as the attraction of eco-tourism in the world’s natural heritage sites, such as: Ha Long Bay - UNESCO World Heritage Site (Quang Ninh), Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh), Trang An Tourism Complex (Ninh Binh), Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve (Ho Chi Minh City), Cat Tien Biosphere Reserve (Dong Nai), Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve (Hai Phong), Hoang Lien National Park (Lao Cai); Ba Be National Park (Bac Kan), among others.
On the occasion, the Viet Nam Cultural Heritage Association also introduces 100 beautiful pictures featuring Viet Nam’s nature and daily life as well as tangible and intangible heritages from 66 photographers selected from 3,479 works submitted to the fifth Viet Nam Heritage Photo Contest launched on August.
Additionally, diverse art and cultural activities will be held under the framework of the event, including traditional Ca Tru singing, folk songs, Don Ca Tai Tu (southern amateur singing), and Chau Van (spiritual singing), etc.
The opening ceremony of the event will be held at 4:30 PM on November 21.
