Municipal People’s Council meets voters of Thanh Oai suburban district (18:52 17/11/2017)

HNP - On November 15, deputies of Municipal People’s Council met voters of Thanh Oai suburban district. Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council Phung Thi Hong Ha also attended the meeting.

Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council Phung Thi Hong Ha at the meeting with voters in Thanh Oai District, Ha Noi, November 15.

This is part of activities before the 5th session of the 15th Municipal People’s Council.

Speaking at the meeting, voters of Thanh Oai district requested city government to invest more in agriculture, rural development and new-style rural infrastructure, stabilize prices of farm products and agriculture supplies. They also asked for further financial support to consolidate canals and irrigation system, policies to create favorable conditions for high-tech agriculture investors, and proper planning to prevent sharp decrease of prices like recently falling price of pork.

The residents of Do Dong Commune requested Ha Noi to urge banks and credit organizations to reduce debts and offer interest rate support, call on animal feed producers to reduce prices, and connect farmers, enterprises, the State and scientists in the field of animal husbandry. Ha Noi should continue support for rice cultivation land, create favorable conditions for cooperatives to get loans, and help them with cultivars and expenses to build offices, warehouses and agricultural product processing houses. Administrative procedures in changing structure of cultivars and animal breeds should be simplified.    

Moreover, the voters suggested that Ha Noi should continue support for infrastructure construction after localities complete new-style rural area program. They also voiced concerns over capital construction debts in new-style rural area construction, degradation of schools, health centers, culture house and lighting system. The city should take drastic measures to handle pollution in Nhue and Day rivers, pay attention to administration reform, anti-corruption, and tighten control over property declaration of civil servants.

For her part, Chairwoman of the Thanh Oai People’s Committee Le Thi Ha answered some questions of the voters. For issues beyond their authority, the Municipal People’s Council deputies acknowledged proposals, and confirmed to report them at the upcoming 5th session of Municipal People’s Council.
