According to a report of the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies – Ha Noi branch, by April 30, 2018, the total mobilized and entrusted capital reached VND 3,266 billion, increasing VND 1,012 billion in comparison with the same period of 2017 and a rise of VND 570 billion, equivalent to 21% compared to the beginning of the year.
Besides, the mobilized capital from residents and economic organizations was estimated at VND 699 billion, up VND 350 billion compared to the same period and VND 144 billion, equivalent to 26% over the beginning of the year. The capital mobilized from savings groups and loans fetched VND 304 billion, representing a year on year rise of VND 29 billion, equivalent to 11% over the beginning of the year.
In the first four months, the Bank for Social Policies (Ha Noi branch) increased more efforts to mobilize the capital from the Central and localities to meet requirements of credit programs for poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the area.
By April 30, 2018, the bank had 15 large credit programs, including: providing loans to poor and near-poor households, job creation, rural clean water and environmental sanitation, supporting students in difficult circumstances, preferential loans for social housing program according to Decree No. 100/2015/ND-CP. In addition, over the past four months, over 41,000 turns of households have accessed to loans from the bank.
In the second quarter of 2018, the Bank for Social Policies (Ha Noi branch) will continue carrying out set key missions, including: cooperating with Departments of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Finance and relevant sectors, agencies to advise the city to provide more loans for poor households at phase 2; implementing the capital disbursement and collection in 2018 in accordance with targets and plans assigned by the Central and the city; improving the quality of credit programs in the locality, etc.
Making conclusion at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy affirmed that the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies – Ha Noi Branch has well completed all key missions in the first four months.
In the last months of the year, he asked the bank to focus on providing loans for poor households and further work with districts and towns to promote the tasks related to the poor.
