Party Committee and authorities in the new ward of Bo De receive appointment decisions.
The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bo De Ward on June 30 announced and presented the city's personnel decisions.
Hoang Trong Quyet, member of the Hanoi Party Committee's Executive Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee under the Hanoi Party Committee, attended the ceremony and presented the decisions.
According to the decisions of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Party Executive Committee of Bo De Ward for the 2025-2030 term includes 22 members. Vu Thi Thanh was appointed Party Secretary.
In accordance with the resolution of the Hanoi People's Council, Secretary Thanh also serves as Chairwoman of the provisional People's Council of Bo De Ward for the 2021-2026 term.
The leadership of the People's Committee includes Pham Bach Dang as Chairman, with Le Thanh Xuan and Dao Thi Hoa serving as Deputy Chairpersons.
The Bo De Ward Fatherland Front Committee consists of four members, with Duong Dinh Tinh appointed as Chairman.
Secretary Thanh said that the ward's Party Executive Committee will continue to uphold unity, integrity, and collective wisdom, working closely with local officials and residents to achieve all goals and tasks set for the 2020-2025 term.
She also stressed the importance of successfully organizing grassroots Party congresses and the first Party Congress of Bo De Ward, contributing to the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee and the 14th National Party Congress.
The Party Committee of Bo De Ward will translate the directives of the Central Government and the city into concrete plans and actions, with a special focus on ensuring the effective operation of the new grassroots governance model, Thanh added.
Bo De Ward was formed by merging the entire area and population of the former Ngoc Lam Ward, most of the area and population of the former wards of Ngoc Thuy, Gia Thuy, and Bo De, parts of the former wards of Duc Giang and Thuong Thanh, and small portions of the former Long Bien and Phuc Dong wards – all in Long Bien District.
The new ward borders Long Bien, Viet Hung, and Hong Ha wards, as well as Vinh Thanh and Dong Anh communes. It covers 12.94km2 and has a population of 120,028.
According to Hanoi General Planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Bo De Ward is part of the expanded central urban area and is intended to ease the pressure on population and infrastructure in the city's inner core.
The ward lies along the East-West corridor, which covers Long Bien, Hoan Kiem and Gia Lam wards, and is aligned with the plan to develop an ecological urban zone along the Red River.
It serves as a strategic link between the city's inner administrative and commercial center and emerging cultural-industrial hubs such as Bat Trang.
Located near the heart of Hanoi, Bo De is one of the most modern and well-connected areas in the city's eastern region. It plays a key role in promoting green urban development, housing, and services.
With a rich cultural heritage, Bo De lies on land that once belonged to the historic Kinh Bac region.
The ward is home to centuries-old traditional villages and represents a unique blend of time-honored suburban traditions and the dynamic rhythm of modern urban life in the capital.
